Hey everyone!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I haven't updated in awhile so i decided to today while i have time! October was a VERY eventful month for me. I turned 19, got a job, visited home, had fun with my friends, took on new responsibilities and got snowed on :) I already wrote about turning 19 so ill start with my job. I got a job on October 5th. At the end of September i was awarded work study and was getting frustrated because i was awarded it so late in the year and every job that i had applied to had already been filled. I saw one job and didn't feel like it fit me well and didn't really want to do it but i emailed the person anyways and she replied giving me an interview time. I was terrified for my interview because, well i have never really had to do an interview before, i just got the job because i knew the person, or my dad knew the person. I went into the interview and then was hired. It took me a little time to get used to working with a lot of people, but i love having a job again and working not just sitting around my house bored or studying. I find it nice to be able to work in an environment where its just you and not the people you live with all the time. The next thing that happened in October is I visited home. My older brother got married and I went home for fall break and ended up being just a week long trip. I have come to know airports very well (at least the Vegas and SLC ones anyways) I love flying. I flew on the way back to Logan just before sunrise and watched the sun come up from the sky which is GORGEOUS :) Las Vegas was so fun. I felt like i could really gage my progress by going back. I don't realize when I'm in Logan, but i really have grown up (a bit) and i have matured. I am an adult now and i am able to take care of myself. It was great to be with my family. I love my family so much. They are the greatest blessing in my life. I love Vegas, but the whole time i was there it felt as if i was being told and shown that i am in Logan for a reason and that Logan is where i need to be. I love Logan but sometimes i miss Vegas although i know Logan is where i need to be. I have such great roommates :) I am so glad that i live with the people i live with. Who else would i be able to dress up in a mu mu, pirate costume, princess dress and build blanket forts with! These girls are my favorite and i love how much fun we have together! There is always laughter to be heard! I am having a lot of great opportunities here at USU, one of which is to be in a CES choir to go down to the fireside in November that is broadcast worldwide and sing. I am SO excited for this! It really is a once in a lifetime chance and I'm glad i get to go :) Now for one of the highlights of my October, SNOW! I got snowed on this past week :) Most people were upset that the snow came so soon but I enjoyed it. I do agree that the cold can stay away longer but I really needed snow to make me happy this week and that's what it did :) I love the place I live! It is beautiful. I wish i could share with you all the wonderful life i am living in the most amazing place! It really is great! I hope you enjoyed a piece of my life and that you are doing what i am, "living the life i love and loving the life i live" :)
oh and p.s. this next week we are playing a giant game of humans vs zombies that includes Nerf guns...I'm kinda thinking i have the best school EVER :)
